FAQs.

What is the ideal application for Steel Barriers?

Steel Barriers are perfect for any application where you need to keep people safe from forklift or vehicle operating areas.

Can access to a safe crossing area be allowed for?

Yes. The Steel Pause Gates are perfect for allowing access to a safe crossing area. Pause gates can be fitted anywhere along the length of the Traffic barrier.

Are Steel Barriers customisable for my layout?

Absolutely. This Steel Barrier is a very flexible system, so we can adapt to suit your layout.

Are Steel Barriers able to withstand a vehicle hit?

Yes. Various height and guard rail options are available to suit your application, ask us for the best option for your needs.

Can Steel Barriers be bolted to asphalt?

No, our Steel Barrier must be bolted to concrete, so if the existing surface is asphalt, you will need to excavate and pour concrete footings to install the barrier onto. Concrete footers need to be a minimum of 25MPA and 400mm wide x 300mm deep. If you would prefer to install individual footers for each post, these need to be a minimum of 400(L)x400(W)x300(D)mm per post.

Extremely helpful and able to visualise what we required onsite almost immediately. Vanguard Safety was able to source parts quickly and we were able to complete installation on a non-operational day, which allows us to remain open during normal working hours.

Dealing with Vanguard Safety was a great experience - they offered great advice and explained how the process would flow. The task was completed as requested and on time; quality of work was exceptional and all housekeeping was managed well.
